Age 82, was called home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Alice was born on September 9th, 1946 to the late Alzear Duet Talamo and Vincent Talamo, Sr.
Sister of Anna Westerman, Delores (the late Reed Vaughan, Sr.), Kathleen Bernard (Al), and her late brothers Vincent, Jr. and Gerald Talamo.
Mother of Dwayne Littrell (Lisa) and Kim Littrell (Darrin). Grandmother of her adored grandsons, Wayne Littrell (Stacy) and Slade Adams (Frannie). Aunt to Al Bernard IV (Karla) and the late Reed, Jr. and Myles Vaughan, Damon Vaughan (Adrian) and Destiny Billot. Great Aunt to Austin Coats, Chrystian Bre-Anna Vaughan, London and Roman Vaughan, Alex, Adrianna and Abby Bernard, Heather Delany, Tony Vaughan, Camille and Marcel Boudreaux.
Alice graduated from Holy Cross High School and got her Bachelor's Degree from Tulane University in Education. She was a very proud school teacher in Jefferson Parish and retired from the HUD branch in New Orleans.
She belonged to St. Mark Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA. Was a founder of "The Sodality of Mary" under the leadership of her dear friend, Father Di Maria. She also felt that it a Blessing that she was trusted by Mrs. JoAnn Marchand to design, bead and sew all the dresses for the "Our Lady of Fatima statues that visit the homes of those in need of her healing prayers. She loved making Rosaries in crystal and birthstones for family and friends, quilting, crocheting, embroidering and reading. She loved her little piece of Heaven on Muddy Creek where she could watch the kids and her fur babies, Morning Star and the late Misty Rose and Bandit run and play.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church, 3103 Eton St., New Orleans, LA 70131. The Memorial Mass officiated by her cousin Fr. John Talamo.
