Clifton "Pippy" "Curly" "Grandpa" Sterling Percle entered peacefully into heaven on Saturday, October 15, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of the late Carmella Licciardi Percle of 61 years. Loving father of Glenn J. Percle (Jan Melancon Percle), and preceded in death by his son and daughter: Sterling B. Percle and Geralyn M. Percle. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law: Deborah "Debbie" Bourque Percle (Sterling's wife). A proud grandfather of Nicholas "Nick" J. Percle and the late Joshua J. Percle.

Son of the late Philomene Hebert Percle and Vital Percle. Brother of Bernice Percle Gautreaux (the late Eddie) and preceded in death by his siblings: Louis Percle (the late Laura), Gertrude P. Childress (the late Floyd), Inez P. Territo (the late Dinah), Adeline P. DelaGardelle (the late Loraine), Anthony J. Percle and Elina P. McCarty (the late Bill). He is also survived by his sister-in-law: Dorothy "Dot" Percle, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his furry friends: Reese and Roux.
Age 90, a native of Harvey, Louisiana, and a lifelong resident of Marrero, Louisiana. "Curly"served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years and was received an Honorable Discharge. Upon being discharged from the Navy, he met his lovely wife and worked for Avondale Ship Yard as a foreman for 28 years and Johns Manville for 21 years. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with his grandchild, family, his furry friends, trips to the casino and bus trips with friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at 11:00 am at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy. Marrero, LA.
