Beloved wife of the late Richard Anthony Bernard Sr. Loving mother of Sheila Bernard Mamolo (Charles Sr.), Sharon Bernard Lambert (Ron), Richard Bernard Jr. (Nancy), Cindy Bernard (Jason). Proud grandmother of Shelly Mamolo Marques (Aaron), Barry Parria Jr. (Megan), Charles Mamolo Jr. (Brittany) and Emily Gartman (Chris). Great grandmother of Luke and Dylan Marques, Hunter and Jace Parria. Daughter of the late Rouil and Agnes Theriot. Sister of the late Earl Theriot, Pearl Najolia, Marion LeBlanc, Joyce Theriot, Lois Dufrene, Betty DeLatte, Beverly Gillis and Nellie Moran. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn owned and operated a child care center for many years. She was a natural caregiver with a love for all. She had a lively, outgoing spirit and loved dancing and being with her friends and family. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed knowing her.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Visitation of our Lady, 3500 Ames Blvd. in Marrero on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and continue until the time of service. Interment will take place at Westlawn Cemetery.
